Request for Agenda Items: Ombudsman Meeting at the 2020 NMLS Annual Conference & TrainingPosted 12/10/2019 An open meeting with the NMLS Ombudsman will be held Thursday, February 20, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PT, in conjunction with the 2020 NMLS Annual Conference & Training in San Francisco, California. Conference registration is not required to attend the meeting. Suggested agenda items regarding NMLS, state licensing, and/or federal registration will be accepted until Friday, January 24, 2020. Individuals who submit discussion items must attend the meeting to present their issue. Agenda items can be submitted by emailing ombudsman@nmls.org. Please provide the issue and any relevant information on your company's letterhead. The meeting will be in-person only; there will be no dial-in available. Policy Guidebook has been posted to the NMLS Resource Center
and the Regulator Resource Center. The updated NMLS Policy Guidebook includes a Temporary
Authority to Operate section. Multiple topics are discussed, including but not
limited to: Eligibility Requirements, Sponsorship, Intent to Deny and the TA

New Mexico Adds In-State and Out-of-State Motor Vehicle Sales Finance Licenses to NMLS November 1, 2019Posted 11/1/2019 NMLS
is now receiving new application and transition filings for the following New
Mexico Financial Institutions Division licenses. New applicants and
existing licensees are now able to submit these records through NMLS. - In-State Motor
Vehicle Sales Finance License
- Out-of-State Motor
Vehicle Sales Finance License
Note: Companies holding these license types are required to submit
a license transition request through NMLS by filing a Company Form (MU1) and an
Individual Form (MU2) for each of their control persons by December 31. Additionally,
for each branch holding these license types, companies are required to complete
and submit a Branch Form (MU3). Click here

Rhode Island to Add Currency Transmitter, Replacing the Electronic Money Transferor and Sale of Check Licenses to NMLS, November 1, 2019Posted 10/31/2019 Starting
November 1, NMLS will begin receiving new application and transition filings for
the Rhode Island Division of Banking Currency Transmitter License. Companies
holding the Rhode Island Division of Banking Electronic Money Transferor
License or the Rhode Island Division of Banking Sale of Check License are
required to submit a license transition request for the Currency Transmitter
License, through NMLS by filing a Company Form (MU1) and an Individual Form
(MU2) for each of their control persons by

Mississippi to Add Check Cashing, Credit Availability, Insurance Premium Finance, Consumer Loan Broker and Pawnbroker Licenses to NMLS November 1, 2019Posted 10/31/2019 Starting
November 1, NMLS will begin receiving new application and transition filings

Nevada Assembly Bill No.468 Passes During 79th Nevada Legislative Session Posted 10/22/2019 During
the 79th Nevada Legislative session (2017), Assembly Bill No.468 (“AB 468”) was
introduced and passed. The bill repealed the provisions of the law that
regulate mortgage bankers and revised the provisions of the law that currently
regulate brokers to apply to both mortgage bankers and brokers, both of which
are now included in the term “mortgage company.” Additionally, the term
“mortgage agent” was changed to “mortgage loan originator.” A copy of AB 468
can be obtained under “MLD Updates” on the Division’s website. |
